Nos liaisons d’armatures Hérisson® ont été très largement choisies pour la construction des nouveaux diesels ultimes de secours des centrales nucléaires d’EDF puisqu’elles seront utilisées sur les sites de Saint-Laurent-des-Eaux, Chinon, Dampierre, Civaux, Le Blayais, Tricastin, Cruas et Bugey, soit sur 28 des 58 réacteurs du parc nucléaire français.

Les barres seront filetées chez AMSA Armatures et SAMT.

The Vinci project team has awarded Armaturis the contract to supply its Firsty couplers for the construction of the second bridge over the Wouri river in Douala, Cameroun. The threaded rebar for these splices are being produced at our Saint-Chamas, France facility then shipped by container to the site.

The Hérisson+® adjustment splices are specifically designed to compensate for both:
- The variable distances between ends of rebars to be assembled,
- The mismatch between the threads of the same bars.
They allow thus to ensure the mechanical continuity of preassembled rebar frames, even if they are already concreted.

The Hérisson® coupler has successfully passed the low cycle fatigue tests

The Hérisson® coupler has successfully passed the low cycle fatigue tests as per ISO 15835 standard, which assesses the behaviour of the rebar in medium (S1) and violent (S2) seismic conditions via a series of tension/compression cycles.
The low elongation values obtained in S1 and transient elongation in S2, ensure the resistance of the coupler in the event of an earthquake.
